About Event
How well do you really know Waterloo? Who is Abe Erb, and why does he have a street and restaurant named after him? Why do King St. and Weber St. cross over each other THREE times? Whereโs the optimal spot to host a mega-picnic with friends? How much of the city have you truly explored?
We wanted to know the answers. So, we explored. We walked. We asked questions. We googled (a lot). And along the way, we fell in love with the quirks and that make up this city that we call home.
Now, we are hosting scavenger hunts, so more people can adventure around Waterloo too.
What is Waterloo Scavenger Hunt?
We believe humans are hard-wired for adventure. Waterloo Scavenger Hunt runs in-real-life, real-time, photo-based scavenger hunts across the Waterloo Region.
Our events are high energy and awesome.
Compete in teams of 4. You can sign up individually, in duos, or as a full team.
In the game, you will get clues and riddles containing objects, locations or actions. Itโs up to you and your team to find the place, obtain the object, solve the riddle, or recreate the action, and document completing the clue.
Thereโs a live leaderboard. This isnโt just for fun and games. Bragging rights are at play. Plus, a super legitimate and prestigious award ceremony only rivalling the Olympics.
How do teams work?
You can sign up as an individual, duo or full team.
Individuals (1 person): Individuals will be grouped with other individuals, meaning you'll always be on a team with people excited to make new friendships too.
Duos (2 people): Duos will be paired with other duos!
Teams (4 people): Teams will compete with the group they signed up with.
