Ever built something so cursed, so useless, or so aggressively terrible that you thought, “Wow, this should never exist”? Seen the Stupid Ideas Hackathon around and wanted to be a part of it?

Good news: that’s exactly what we’re looking for.

Introducing the 2026 Waterloo edition of the Stupid Ideas Hackathon, a day dedicated to celebrating the weirdest, most impractical, least marketable tech ideas you can come up with.
