Benjamin Parry: Why Everyone Should Study Theology
Hosted By
About Event
Theology seems like an anachronistic concept. It is so removed from our day-to-day lives that we can barely imagine what it means. The folk story goes that as the domains of science and technology have grown to explain and define more and more of our lives the things we once considered important as theology faded away. But what if this story isn't so clean? What if theology is still important? What benefits could we get from revisiting this idea?
Benjamin Parry is the founder of the Toronto Society. Previously he co-founded Build Canada.
This event is the first in a new experimental series the Toronto Society Talks a place for Society members to present rigorously argued, original theses. Debate the answers to provocative questions and end the evening with a party among friends. Phones will be collected at the door.
