irid is opening this fall with an incredible inaugural slate of course offerings!
We invite you to step into our world for a sneak peek at what our fall Teaching Fellows have been developing for our first semester. Expect an open house-style event with interactive installations investigating questions at the core of each course, like:
How might makers collaborate with machines through improvisation and chance?
What would it look like to redesign aging, intentionally and in community?
What can we learn about mindfulness from nonhuman forms of intelligence?
Formal programming begins at 6:30pm, but we encourage you to come early or stay afterwards to meet the Fellows, co-create with them, and hear more about their course visions. Or, just come hang with the irid extended community and get a sense of what we're all about :)
To get in the spirit for our party, dress like you're in art school -- whether for you that's colourful prints, an edgy modernist aesthetic, or something in between!
Pizza and beverages will be provided -- please indicate any dietary restrictions or other requests for accommodations in your RSVP.
Interested in taking an irid course?
Enrolment for the semester (starting in late September) opens August 15th, and early bird pricing for courses ends August 31st. After the party wraps, look for a discount code in your inbox to apply the cost of a regular ticket towards course fees!

irid (the Institute for Relational Intelligence in Design) is an experimental school and community for lost intellectuals and curious artists. We provide a sandbox for thinker-creators to develop themselves through the art of teaching, applying experiential learning and design as problem-solving to our most pressing civic and social issues.
