Lecture: How to Start a Walking Tour Company
Hosted By
About Event
Four years ago, I began posting videos walking and biking around Toronto, documenting my curiosity and exploration in real time. A few months later I started Hidden Rivers Tours, a walking tour company to share my insights & bring Torontonians together.

Over the years, many of you have asked for insights on the behind-the-scenes: What is my research process for creating new tours? What was my approach to social media? How did I think about branding, marketing, and building community? Why did I start a walking tour company at all, and how might my approach be helpful to other grassroots initiatives in Toronto?
On Friday July 24th, I will be answering all of these questions and more.
This is a 90 minute lecture and Q&A where I share my learnings from the past four years of Hidden Rivers. Whether you are interested in making short form videos, teaching courses, public speaking, or starting a full-blown tour company in Toronto, I hope my experience will be helpful for you.
The location of this lecture is still under consideration and will be shared shortly.
If you are inspired to create a walking tour of your own, I am also hosting a workshop on Saturday August 1, where you will research, craft, and deliver a walking tour in one day.
