Back to School Field Trip 2026: DOME
About Event
The Ministry of Phonic Services presents Back to School Field Trip 2026, a month-long festival of experimental sounds and actions across the urban refuse of Toronto.
Join us at the Dome on Thursday, September 17th. Email ministryphonicservices@gmail.com for the festival map, or message us on Instagram @ministryphonic.
Starting before 8:30pm, PWYC, no one turned away for lack of funds.
About the artists...
Brandon Auger creates stages. His approach to noise leans into the faintest of interactions, a macabre play of objects dancing around a table as the act unfolds in front of us all. An exercise in re-tuning our ears and eyes, his live performances are not to be missed.
A prolific composer, improviser, and multi-instrumentalist, Ben Grossman draws out a long tone unlike anyone. We’ve been obsessed with his hurdy-gurdy playing since first encountering it, which only makes sense that he’s been a collaborator with our fave instrument designer Fron Reilly.
And we bring the Fuzzmaster back to town! Fahmid Nibesh’s foray of pedals and general facial fuzz have more than earned him the nickname. Pushing sound waves through any means of contortion, whether that be radios, amplified objects, or his brisk fingers over the guitar, his improvisational flare always keeps us on our toes.
