About Event
Augment builds Augie, an AI teammate for logistics. Freight brokerage runs on phone calls, email chains, and spreadsheets, and Augie does that work end to end. It is one of the few places where AI agents are running unsupervised against real money and real deadlines, which means the engineering problems are the hard ones: reliability, evals, latency, and what happens when the model is wrong at 2am.
The team is coming to Waterloo for an afternoon to talk about how they actually build it.
What's happening
The room is open from 1 to 4:30. Food, coffee, and swag the whole time. Augment engineers will give a technical talk and live demo of the systems behind Augie, how they architect agents that hold up in production, what broke on the way there, and what they are building next. The rest of the afternoon is open floor networking and mingling.
Open to all Waterloo students.
